Classic Heaters

Classic car heater matrix.

The heater core (or matrix) in a classic car tends to get choked up over time, but it can either be cleaned out or recored and will then deliver maximum heat output when required. Most heater matrixes in vintage cars are copper and brass and are easily recored to an identical or better specification to when they were new. They can sometimes be cleaned out by removing the tanks, cleaning the core out and then being reassembled or if the core is too damaged or perished, a replacement core can be fitted.

New units are often available for more popular classics (we have an excellent range of Rolls Royce and Jaguar heaters available ex-stock) and even upgraded Aluminium units can be made to pattern.

Heaters are guaranteed for 3 months if they have been repaired or cleaned out and 12 months if they are new or have had a new core fitted.
